200 DUE FROM COLLINSVILLE Number of Stables Already on Hand at Shreveport Overnight Purses 00 to 00, Probably More. SHREVEPORT, La., Oct. 8. The first ;big consignment of thoroughbreds which will take in the twenty-five day meeting at the local Fair Grounds track beginning October 22, is expected here in the next day or so. Several hundred horses are coming directly from Fairmount Park and training operations are expected to be in full swing. Most of these horses have been campaigned all summer and will come here ready for competition. A number of stables already are on the scene, having come directly from Detroit and Beulah Park while still others are coming shortly from Illinois and Kentucky. To help take care of the many stables intended for racing here 300 additional stalls have been constructed. Emmctt E. Hileman, racing secretary who has been here for several days, said he would release the first book of conditions next week and they would be sent to all the northern tracks as well as being available at the local offices of the association. Purses for overnight races will be 00, 00 and 00, and probably several of greater value, depending upon the caliber of thoroughbreds available for racing.
