NEW ORLEANS, La., Nov. 12. The only Shipment to check in at the Fair Grounds today was the establishment of Mrs. R. J. Murphy, Evansville, Ind., sportswoman, who shipped fourteen head here in charge of Odie Clelland, who has been directing the stable for several years. The consignment, which was the thirty-eighth express car to reach the Fair Grounds since November 1, was made up of eight horses of racing age and six home-bred yearlings, by the young sire Ramoneur, which holds court at the Murphy farm near Evansville. The crop of youngsters consists of five colts and one filly. The older contingent was headed by Little Nymph, which showed her usual consistent form at the recent Churchill Downs meeting, which came to a close last Saturday. Also included in the group of older horses is the good three-year-old Knee Deep, which. Mrs. Murphy purchased from J. W. Parrish several days ago before departing from Louisville. Knee Deep, a son of Percentage, will add considerably to the three-year-old division during the balance of the year at the local track. While considered by his owner as of Kentucky Derby caliber, the then Parrish colorbearer failed to come up to expectations of trainer Goode and owner Parrish. The useful three-year-old has shown his best over a soft track and the Fair Grounds course should prove a suitable one for the Murphy representative. OTHER MEMBERS. Others unloaded by the young trainer for Mrs. Murphy were Marcabala, which sported the "Butsey" .Hernandez colors here last year, Imeblue, Stepinanna, Royal Broom and Lucy. General manager R. S. Eddy, Jr., has been advised that at least eleven carloads of thoroughbreds will be on the way to the local course after the close of Narragansett Park, which is scheduled to close its meeting next Saturday. Nearly 800 horses have found accommodations at the local course and by the end of next week, almost a week before the opening on Thanksgiving Day, every available stall should be taken.
