0,000 DAYTON EXPLOSION DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 12. An explosion heard throughout the city, which broke windows two and a half miles away, caused 0,000 damage to the sewage disposal plant today. The explosion was believed by M. W. Tatlock, plant superintendent, to have been caused by gas from sewage fermenting in tanks seeping into a long, heavily-reinforced concrete corridor between two control houses. Heaters in the corridor were thought to have ignited the gas. The corridor and control houses were destroyed. The plant was closed indefinitely and sewage was poured into the Miami River.
