NEW CHUTE AT FAIR GROUNDS NEW ORLEANS, La., Nov. 12. The new quarter mile chute at the head of the stretch has been completed and starter John Mor-rissey, who is expected back here Sunday from a fishing trip, is expected to school horses out of the new chute beginning Monday morning. The only other chute at the local plant before the new one was constructed was at the six furlongs start. With the turn of the new year, two-year-olds will be asked to travel only a quarter of a mile. Heretofore the juvenile races were contested over the three furlongs route.
