BIBLIOPHILE had good early speed, but tired as if short. BANG was slow to get going and was never a. serious contender. ONUGO was in close quarters early. ACE CALL and SAY JUDGE were never prominent. AT POST 5J minutes. s - Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. LIGAROTI, much the best, was none too quick to begin and was a trailer to the last quarter, then came to the outside and, although forced to the middle of the track on the stretch turn, finished full of run to take command near the end and won drawing out under pressure. HAPPY BOLIVAR, prominent throughout, displayed gameness in the final drive. DOGAWAY showed good early speed while going to the outside of LA VENGRO and raced the latter into submission, but tired a trifle near the end. CAPT. CAL, lacking the speed to keep up in the early part, turned in a creditable effort to finish close up. TOWNSMAN, although seemingly a trifle outclassed, ran a good race. .LA VENGRO acted badly at the post, but broke well and helped make the pace, only to tire and be in rather close quarters next to the. rail a sixteenth but.
