LEGAL STEPS FOR RECOUNT INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Nov. 12. Legal steps to obtain a recount in six counties of Tuesdays election ballots cast for U. S. Senator and State officials were discussed by Republican state committee members today. On the basis of returns, Senator Frederick Van Nuys, conservative Democrat, was reelected by 7,000 votes. Raymond E. Willis, defeated Republican candidate, prepared petitions to present in two of the Federal courts to impound all the ballots and voting machines in Marion, Lake, Vanderburg, Vigo, Sullivan and Vermilion Counties.
