GERMAN PROPAGANDA AGAINST UNITED STATES i BERLIN, Germany, Nov. 26. Diplomatic Correspondence, organ of the German foreign office, charged today that the United States is striving to establish a "Latin American hegemony" through economic ties, and the establishment of military bases. The "Washington government, it is alleged, attempted to add points to the agenda of the forthcoming Lima conference which were not raised by Latin Americans. It was emphasized that German economical aims in Latin American countries are not aggressive, "despite fairy tales of imminent German attacks." The Boersen Zeitung editorially predicted that the United States would raise the Jewish issue at Lima. "The United States is trying to isolate the Latin American countries from Europe," said the Boersen Zeitung. Through economic pressure, disguised as Pan-Americanism, she is striving to keep them economically dependent on North America and neutralize national movements in Latin America which might endanger the "dollar policy."
