"LIGHTNING" JONES ABANDONS SADDLE FOR TRAINERS POST NEW ORLEANS, La., Nov. 26 Leo "Lightning" Jones, local jockey of prominence several years ago when attached to the stable of C. H. "Pat" Kncbclkamp, has definitely forsaken the saddle, and has been granted a license to train by the Fair Grounds stewards. Jones essayed a saddle come-back last year, but found it too difficult to keep down to a low riding weight without causing physical injury, thus causing him to make the decision to retire. Jones has only one horse under his supervision at present, Summit Hill, the property of his father-in-law, John H. Galway, Sr. However, the former jockey is hopeful of making a number of additions to his stable between now and the end of the winter racing season.
