ALL-AMERICAN FOOTBALL TEAM FOR 1938 s s Three Midwestern players and three Easterners were named on the Heart All-American football team for 1938, selected by a committee of twenty-one gridiron experts throughout the country. Two Southwest players, one Southerner and two West Coast stars complete the first eleven. Undefeated and untied, Notre Dame and Texas Christian each placed two men on the first team. Notre Dames representatives are: end, Earle Brown, and center, Ed Longhi. Texas Christian men honored are: tackle, I. B. Hale, and quarterback, David OBrien.
