H. P. HEADLEY STABLE ARRIVES ARCADIA, Calif., Nov. 29. Nine thoroughbreds, comprising the first string of the Hal Price Headley stable, arrived at Santa Anita Park this morning. They came in charge of trainer Duval Headley. "We were very glad to reach Sunny California from the frigid Eastern regions," Headley said. "All nine of our horses seem to have shipped in excellent shape and I feel that most of them will be in prime condition t 1for the opening of the sport here the day before New Years." The string includes three candidates for the 00,000 Santa Anita Handicap and a like number of intended entries for the 0,000 Santa Anita Derby. Bourbon King, Dah He, and Flying Lee will be nominated for the greater prize, while Hants, Airacuda and Volitation are the Headley threats in the three-year-old special.
