NEWSPAPER STRIKE ENDS WILKES-BARRE, Pa., Nov. 29. A strike of eight weeks duration between the Sunday Independent, one of Wilkes-Barres four strike-bound newspapers, and the American Newspaper Guild, ended today with the signing of a years contract by the Guild, and the publishers of the Independent. Immediate preparation was made to publish for the first time in two months next Sunday. Mean-, while, the three dailies continued to suspend publication.
