GEORGETOWN DECLINES BID WASHINGTON, D. C, Nov. 29. Georgetown University, undefeated and untied football team, declined an invitation to play in the Champagne Bowl, in Philadelphia, on New Years Eve H. Gabriel Murphy, graduate manager at Georgetown, in announcing the declination, disclosed he was still hopeful that Georgetown would be asked to participate in the Catholic charities game to be played in Los Angeles on New Years Day. Georgetown previously rejected a bid to play in the Sun Bowl game at El Paso, Texas.
