COACH NEVERS NOT SIGNED i The Chicago Cardinals, denied the report j that they have signed Ernie Nevers as coach to succeed Milan Creighton, who has ten- dered his resignation. Nevers, an All Amer-! ican fullback while at Stanford in 1924, I coached the Cardinals prior to Creighton and x has been an assistant coach at Iowa for several years. Charles Bidwill, owner of the Cardinals, has been negotiating with Nevers to take over the team but has not yet reached an agreement.
