HAWAHAN-BREDS CONSISTENT NEW ORLEANS, La., Nov. 29. Much has been written of the thoroughbreds foaled in Chile and South America in the past two years, but another territory has been overlooked, this is Hawaii. Horses produced in this United States possession, while not champions, have more than earned their keep for the past eight or ten years in American racing. One still campaigning with a good measure of success, having won four races this year, is Mrs. F. C. Dunns Hueu, an eight-year-old son of Rodgers Pukalani. Perhaps the best of the Hawaiian-breds to race in the United States was Uluniu, which performed for Mrs. Ray Pollard several years ago and managed to take the measure of some of the better grade of racers. There has hot been any importations in the past few years from Hawaii.
