GEORGE BURNS PLEADS GUILTY NEW YORK, N. Y., Dec. 12 George Burns, star of screen and radio, today pleaded guilty to a smuggling charge in an unheralded appearance at the Federal Building. Burns was indicted last Friday in connection with the entry into this country of three pieces of jewelry valued at ,885. Maximum penalty for the offense is eighteen years in prison and a fine of 5,000. Indicted with him were Albert Chaperau and Paul A. Cheyskam, .
