DON BUDGE NATIONS BEST For the second year in succession Donald Budge, champion tennis player, was voted the nations best athlete in a poll conducted by the Associated Press. Henry Armstrong, the great negro fighter, was awarded second place, while Johnny Vander Meer, Cincinnatis crack southpaw, was third.
