MICHIGAN FOR SUBSIDIZATION ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 10.— Open subsidization of athletes, three meals a day for football players, and tuition scholarships for athletes, today was advocated by the University of Michigan student senate. The senate unanimously adopted this three-point program : Extension of the training table to provide three meals a day for football players during the season, one meal provided daily next season; tuition scholarships to be awarded to all athletes on the same basis as the publication scholarships now in existence, the publication scholarships providing an annual prize to student workers on all publications to maintain an average of four consecutive semesters; action through Big Ten athletic organizations to provide standard rules for subsidization for all Big Ten schools.
