The latter, outrun in the early stages, was forced wide turning into the stretch and displayed good energy in the late stages. LITTLE KIEV forced the pace from the beginning, moved into command with a rush rounding the far turn, was strongly ridden in the final drive, but was not good enough. MISS ADAMS, racing forwardly under mild restraint, made a bold bid approaching the final eighth, but was not good enough. GENERAL BOY tired in the final eighth. STOUT HEART tired badly. ICE QUEEN had nothing left for the drive. BLOW AWAY was through after three- -quarters. Scratched— 72136 Escolee, 105; 72338 Boiling Point, 110; 72366 Lucky Cloud, 99; 72215 Linnie Kate, 105. HIGH FIDELITY, much the best, was under strong restraint for a half mile, came to the outside of the leaders turning into the stretch, took command without need of pressure and drew but easily. GANNONNIC, outrun in the early stages and on the extreme, outside turning into the stretch, closed with a belated rush. B. BARON, hustled into command, was under good rating and, under pressure in the final drive, held on gamely, REELAWAY saved ground, but failed to respond to strong urging in the final stages. SILVER PALM forced the pace under occasional pressure, was strongly urged in the drive and tired in the last seventy yards. KINGSHIGHWAY tired. YENRAC had no mishaps. GEORGE had nothing left.
