LADIES IN MORNING RACE BALTIMORE, Md., May 10.— The ladies were the center of interest here this morning at old Pimlico with the running of the Maryland Jockey Clubs annual event for feminine riders. First honors were taken by Mrs. George» Saportas, who had the mount on Victor P. Noyes Adelmar. The Noyes thoroughbred defeated a field of four others over a distance of five furlongs and to the winning rider a handsome silver trophy was awarded. The presentation was made by jockey Jimmy Stout, pilot of Johnstown in the Kentucky Derby last Saturday and due to guide that thoroughbred in the Preakness Saturday. The place position was taken by Judy Johnson, aboard Major L. D. Drennans Mr. Duncannon, with Miss Lisbeth Stieg finishing in the show position aboard Blue Boo. Miss Joan Thomas, on C. J. Meisters Halo, and Miss Sarah Bosley, on the Log Cabin Studs Angus, trailed the field. Incidentally, Miss Bosley won the first running of this event last year with Angus, but today was unable to threaten the winner. i .
