ARRIVALS FOR KENTUCKY OAKS Shandon Farms Morstep and Blaze -around Get in From Maryland — Worpoise Coming. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 10.— With the ar- ; rival of Shandon Farms Morstep and Blaze-around from Maryland yesterday, word that Worpoise would be here to fulfill her engagement and several good trials today on the part .of the other candidates, Saturdays renewal of the ,000 added Kentucky Oaks promises to add another brilliant chapter to this historic Churchill Downs fixture that will be having its sixty-fifth running. Despite Flying Liils decisive victory in yesterdays Indian Hills Purse, the race only eliminated a pair of eligibles. Elma H., a stablemate of the winner, and Rude Awakening were so soundly beaten that there is little chance of them being among the starting field. Although Burgoo Miss was unable to cope with Flying Liils winning charge, trainer Dan Morris has not given up on the daughter of Burgoo King. Irvana, the third horse, and Bellitas Babe, which finished fourth, still remain in the probable field. DINNER DATES DEBUT. Dinner Date, one of the leading juvenile fillies last year and winner of of the Matron and Spinaway Stakes, will make her seasons debut in the Oaks. Others expected to contest the nine furlongs race are Old Fox Sta-1 1 bles Torch Stick, Friedberg and Axtons Mont-sin and Bala. Ormont, E. R. Plunketts Chan-dera and Woolford Farms Spin On and Unerring. Losing no time with Morstep and Blaze-around, trainer J. J. Greely, Jr., tested the pair over a slow track at Churchill Downs this morning. Morstep, third to Alms and Otra in the Pimlico Oaks last Saturday, was limited to a seven furlongs drill, which she accomplished in 1:35, breezing. Blazearound ran a mile in 1:47%, handily. Young Greely stated that Warren Yarberry has been engaged to ride Morstep and that he would await the arrival of his father before selecting a rider for Blazearound. Bala Ormont and Montsin, which have played prominent parts in Keeneland and local racing, also were indulged in mile drills, the former running the distance in 1:45 and Montsin in 1:46.
