SUN WINE moved into the lead entering the stretch and held the race comparatively safe all during the final eighth. CREDULOUS closed up fast on the outside at the turn for home and easily disposed of the others, but bore out all during the last sixteenths. TAPSTICK saved ground in the stretch and outgamed KNEE ACTION. The latter had no excuses: WAYALOFT and TRUMONT raced one another into defeat, contesting the early leadership and both tired badly in the run home. Scratched— 73408 Sophist, 111. COMPUTER moved up strongly on the outside of the leaders entering the stretch and, continuing gamely through the final eighth, drew clear nearing the end. MERGE raced forwardly throughout and finished courageously. REGISTERITE closed fast on the inside in the run home, finishing strongly. PLAY SHOOT raced evenly. IN STEP tired badly in the last sixteenth after showing the most early speed. CLAFLAG tired in the last quarter. REGARDLESS found the route too far and tired. The others were outrun.
