MISS ADAMS, outpaced for a half mile, was taken into contention gradually, responded to strong riding, overhauled the leaders and won in the final strides. INGLE NOOK improved his position gradually and offered stubborn contention, but could not resist the winner. MAEPOP, in close quarters early, bettered his position when clear and responded to strong riding, but was not good enough. FULL TILT made a bold bid approaching the stretch, but faltered in the final stages. SUN X. closed resolutely. RUBANS CHOICE, well up early, tired in the stretch. GAMALIEL and MEKONG quit. POMPARIA, away in stride, then taken under mild reserve while racing close to the pace, responded when subjected to strong pressure and outfinished SCAT JUNIOR. The latter bettered his position gradually, came to the inside in the stretch, closed with a rush and just missed. OGYGIA, on the outside most of the way, moved up stoutly approaching the stretch, rallied to strong riding, but was not good enough. BRIGHT MELODY raced poorly under weak handling. KIEVA GIRL tired in the stretch. GLOVE had no excuse. KAH MINCA quit. FRITTER CIRCLE showed nothing. WAR ECHOES lacked speed. Overweight — Scat Junior, 1 pound; Ogygia, 3; Glove, 2; Registerite, 4. Apprentice allowance waived — Kieva Girl.
