Respess, local turfman and breeder, advised Latonia officials that his entire stable will participate in the coming meeting here. The Respess horses are at Cleveland. A majority of them were raised at his Highland Stock Farm near Erlanger. J. J. Brumage is expected here with the racers South Gallant, Happy Tidings and Beckville, stalls for the trio having been reserved some time ago. The horses Robert C. Frakes wil campaign here will be vanned from Keeneland this week. The Frakes thoroughbreds have been at Lexington since the close of the Churchill Downs season. Ira Gawthorp and T. H. Parks are getting in from Fairmount Park with the following horses: Lopaz, Genie Jr., Catchall, Falls City, Maddening, Eddie Helck, Buzzin Around and Fire Prince. William Phillips has reserved stalls for eight horses belonging to C. W. Pershall and other patrons. The stables of W. G. Sparks and W. Wilk- erson, Jr., will head this way from Lincoln Fields early this week. Following a trip to Chicago, resident manager Russell Sweeney is back at his desk at the local course.
