E. Copcnhaver; bred by Mr. H. C. McGehee. Winner entered to be claimed for ,000. WENT TO POST— 5:38. AT POST— minute. Start eood and slow. Won ridden out; second and third driving. MARIOLET, rated along under strong restraint to the final half mile, easily overtook CAPTAIN JINKS when approaching the stretch and, ridden out, drew away fast through the final three-sixteenths, but had little left. GEOLOGIST, a factor from the start, was in hand for almost seven eighths and raced gamely under mild pressure thereafter. CAPTAIN JINKS made the early pace in hand, failed to respond to light punishment when challenged and gave way steadily in the last five-sixteenths. LINNIE KATE, outrun from the start, raced very wide when passing distressed hoises in the stretch. SILVER FLEET was weakly ridden. SUMMIT HILL dropped back when placed to pressure and probably did not like the footing. ORBEDLU moved up on the stretch turn, but tired thereafter. Scratched— 75823 High Man. 105; 75590 Flaming Play, 110. ■ • i
