AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, June 19 — Long shot players who visited the border course for the Sabbath racing had plenty of action, as the first four races on the ten-! race program were won by outsiders in the wagering. The longest shot of the day came with the running of the fourth event when Fast Trails finished in a drive, to win by a neck over Zapotec, which was also a long-priced horse. Backers of the A. Grant four-year-1 old filly were regarded handsomely when the payoff was 1.20 for each wagered. The "Daily Double had a good day when George Van, an outsider, romped home to complete the first end of the "Double," pay-! ing the long price of 4.80. Mam Lindy, also an outsider in the wagering, completed the "Daily Double" and paid 5.20. The "Double," which is a separate pool, paid 83.40. Racing secretary Joseph Walter has prac- tically assured the fans of a special feature event next Sunday afternoon when the Agua Caliente race track will stage a steeplechase race, in which the fair sex will pilot the jumpers. Walter has contacted six female riders from Los Angeles and two from San Diego. For the most part, the jumpers will be the same as have been going over the .hurdles here in the past. It is hoped that when the entries close for the main feature, that eight will go postward to decide the issue. *
