JAP -BRITAIN CRISIS TIENTSIN, China, June 19.— Japanese 0 military authorities today warned that if Great Britain imposes economic sanctions s upon Japan they might consider themselves IS released from any obligations to respect :t Britains right and interest in China. Meanwhile i- British Consul Edgar Jamieson alleged d discrimination against British residents by y the Japanese military. Jamieson requested d that the British be treated on an equal basis is with Americans and other foreign nations. s. Jamieson complained about the shortage of »f foodstuffs in the British concession and requested + relaxation of Japanese restrictions IS on foodstuff shipments. The Japanese consul 1- general replied that Japanese authorities ■ had taken independent action only after m British concession authorities had refused to o co-operate with Japan in maintaining peace :e and order in north China.
