I DETROIT TURF NOTES 1 % # Gibbys Tornado and Imperial Jayna, the property of Max Wexler, were shipped to La-tonia by trainer Milton Rinke. In the same van R. L. Stivers had Absconder and Culdee, both claimed at the local meeting recently by the Lexington owner. Jockey R. Musser applied for a license. Musser came here from Chicago. R. O. Higdon plans shipping his stable to Arlington Park the latter part of the week. Molly Fly and Blue Field, property of Mrs. E. Oros, were vanned to Arlington Park. The balance of the Oros stable will be transferred to the big Chicago plant the latter part of the week. The condition of Charles Shafer, widely known Michigan horseman who is confined to an Ann Arbor hospital, was reported as j improved Monday. Jockey H. Lindberg packed his tack and j announced he was going to ride the balance of the summer in Canada. Apprentice Joe Molbert will lose his five-pound allowance Wednesday. Apprentice R. J. Jones altered his plans and decided to remain here instead of going ! to North Randall. Jones has given first call j on his services to J. G. Angner. James C. Ellis, owner of Dade Park, was ■ an arrival from his home in Owensboro, Ky. Accompanying Ellis was John Neeley, also of Owensboro. I Waldo Freeman shipped Grand Waters to I Glen Stevenson at North Randall. All Lady, Burning Wood and Cossack Girl got away Sunday night for Arlington Park. The horses are the property of Mrs. A. A. Bowers and are trained by E. H. Baumgard-ner. Condition books for the Latonia meeting are being distributed by racing secretary Charles Henry. Hill Jimmy and What Fun were transferred to North Randall Sunday by J. W. Barnes.
