Brown, Harron, Conkling Delaware Park Stewards Same Trio as Last Year Will Be JJack in Stand at Coming Meet WILMINGTONj Del., May 20. Delaware Parks time-tested stewards, George Brown, , Jr., W. L. Harron and Herman P. Conkling, , again will be in the stand when the race meeting at the course just outside of Wilmington gets under way on May 29. This decision was expected, but was formally made following a meeting of the Delaware Racing Commission, under the chairmanship of Leonard Richards, and of the Delaware Park Executive Committee. That committee consists of J. -Simpson Dean, president, and Donald P.. Ross and William duPont, Jr. Other officials who will be back for the thirty-day Delaware Park meeting which concludes July 4 are placing judges: M. C. Shea, J. P. Ross, Jr., and J. G. Haus, and Mr. Ross also will serve as clerk of the scales. Mr. Ross, senior, is superintendent of Delaware Park as well as Havre De Grace where he is aide to Edward Burke, who holds the office of general manager at both tracks. George R. "Red" Palmer returns as starter; Henry Carroll as patrol judge, and William Jennings as paddock judge. The timer will be the veteran C. H. "Trainer" Hughes, who also serves at Hialeah Park. Dr. William H. Speers will be the physician in attendance, and Dr. R. D. Coneley again is to be the track veterinarian. The -steepechasing side is of importance at Delaware and there will be two stewards, as is in the past, representing the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association. They are James Park and John Strawbridge. Racing secretary for both the flat "and steeplechase races is Edward J. Brennan, well known for his work in Maryland, New Orleans and other tracks.
