Numerous Spills at Belmont ELMONT, L. I., N. Y., May 20. Spills in unusual quantity marked Wednesdays competition at Belmont Park. In the first race, the filly Ho Hum hit the juvenile course fence and spilled jockey D. Madden and herself into the centerfield. In the steeplechase, Emmas Pet lost jockey W. Leonard, Epindel fell with W. Owen and Tioga fell with Almony. In the eighth event, Peep Show went through the fence with apprentice D. Clingman immediately after the break. None of the fallen riders or their mounts appeared to have sustained serious injury.
