New York News and Notes JAMAICA* L. I.. N. Y., April 13. Trainer Ed Snyder stated today that, barring unforeseen incidents. William Helis Olympic Zenith will be a starter in the Wood Memorial. Moody Jolley. with the Louisiana Farm, stable of Harold A. Clark, checked in from Hialeah Park. He will send horses post-ward within the next few days. O. T. Dubassoff arrived from winter quarters with the Lazy F Ranch horses, headed by the three-year-old filly Cocopet. The horses are ready for racing. Trainer Ross Higdon of the Woolford Farm stable reported that his charges are fully recovered from the recent coughing spell and will be raced frequently during this meeting. Horsemen were relieved to find posted on the secretarial bulletin board a notice that the war food administration had released neatsf oot oil from the priorities and restrlc -tion list, which means that saddles and other leather equipment may receive sadly needed care henceforth. Trainer Howard Scharman arrived from Miami yesterday with Plucky Grip and Lib -erty B. He will campaign his charges during the current meeting at Jamaica. Jockey Jack Westrope will leave today for Maryland to fulfill riding engagements at the Pimlico course. Hubert "Dynamite" Kerr arrived from Bowie with several horses that he will race I at this meeting.
