Giesler Gets Grid Post LOS ANGELES, Calif.. April 13— Jerry Giesler, former chairman of the California Horse Racing and Athletic Boards, has been chosen czar of the new American Professional Football League. His contract runs five years with a salary starting at ,000 and graduated to 0,000 annually. The footballers, a Pacific Coast organization, expect to challenge the National Pro League in intersectional games. Giesler was a progressive and energetic racing commissioner. During his regime the California Turf Foundation, the California Breeders Foundation, the 10 per cent bonus to breeders of homebreds and other measures to advance and elevate thoroughbred racing and breeding were adopted. i l
