Destroy Gambit After Breaking Back in Stall at Sportsmans Misfortune overtook D. C. Wilhelm s Gambit, who arrived at Sportsmans Park from Hot Springs yesterday, when the seven-year-old Chance Play — Illusive gelding broke his back while rolling in his stall. • which only a few hours before had been assigned him. Veterinarians were called and decided upon destroying the gelding immediately. Others in the Welhelm string lhat checked in were Gourmet, Old Smokey, Skagaway and Uncle Mose.
