• Florida Horsemen Trickling Out of State at Slow Rate MIAMI. Fla.. April 13. — Horsemen here are experiencing difficulty obtaining transportation for themselves and their thoroughbreds. Since the Florida season closed at Tropical Park last Saturday departures haj/e been steady, but in comparatively small numbers. Passenger agents for the two railroads serving Miami, the Florida East Coast and Seaboard Air Line, report undiminished demands for space, with all reservations sold 30 days in advance. The horses are being moved out as cars become available, the average being six daily. Each car accommodates 12 to 16 head. The horses are bound for New York, New England, Detroit and Chicago chiefly. Officials expect to ship the last of the horses by April 18.
