j , Just a Question of Choice PAWTUCKET. R. I.. April 13.— Among the 11 horses Ray Metcalf shipped in last week from Florida was the four-year-old colt. Baroque, by Reigh Count — Crazy Jane, wriom Metcalf claimed from J. P. "Sammy Smith a few weeks ago at Hia-leah Park. Ray tells the story so it must ; be true — that Baroque was one of the ibatch of yearlings put on the market by [John Hertz. Sammy Smith looked them all over and finally bought Baroque for the : account of Victor Emmanuel for S4.500. Nothing unusual about that transaction. ! but it might be mentioned that among these Si-mmy passed over was a tall rangy • chevtnut — they later named Count Fleet.
