I Scenic Dies of Pneumonia JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y., April 13.— Trainer George Odom reported the death of the mare, Scenic, from pneumonia. She was taken ill following her arrival from Columbia, S. C. Scenic, a daughter of Stimulus — Tableau, by Gainsborough, was a five-year-old and plans had been made to retire her to the stud next season. She raced for Marshall Field and was one of the better-known mares in racing. Her earnings in 1943 totaled ,810, while in 1942 she earned ,175.
