Erickson to Ride for Vanderbilt BALTIMORE, Md., April 13— Jockey Claude Erickson. former contract rider for R. A. "Dick" Johnson, who is now a placing judge at Pimlico, has been signed to handle the horses of Lt. j.g.i Alfred G. Vanderbilt during the balance of the year. Erickson is a natural lightweight rider and is well regarded by trainer Lee McCoy, conditioner of the Vanderbilt string.
