Y., June 4. — The Independent Association of Mutuel Employes of New York State held its annual election meeting in the Georgian room of the Pennsylvania Hotel last night, with more than 600 clerks in attendance. George T. Gotimer, who was unopposed, was reelected president of the association, while Daniel A. Crowle,y was reelected re- cording secretary by more than a 3 to 1 majority over Frank V. Purdy. Other officers elected last night were Vincent J. Quinn "unopposed" financial secretary; Alexander Ferris who defeated four rivals, first vice-president; Charles Caldwell, sec- ond vice-president; George C. White, third vice-president. None of the contests were close. The following men were elected to the board of directors: Herbert Schwinn, Mitchell Heisman, George Savarese, Samuel Weintraub, George Van Daniker, Michael Rogers, William J. Thielmann, A. Evans Bramble and Bernard Costello. President Gotimer scotched reports that members of the I. A. M. E. were consider-. ing affiliation with the A. F. of L.
