BURGOO LADY was sent up on the outside in the first quarter, forced the pace until entering the stretch, responded to steady urging to assume command nearing the sixteenth pole and drew out at the end. GRAY VICTORY was sent to the front soon after the beginning, maintained his advantage under light urging and held on well to the middle of the stretch, then faltered. OVER ICE slipped through on the inside entering the final quarter and closed with good energy. HY-GAY lost ground on the final turn while moving into contention and finished very wide. BAD COLD was prominently placed and had no mishap. SUN TALK raced evenly. PILATES ECHO had no excuse. CAHORS was unable to reach the leaders. The others were outrun. Won driving; second and third the same FIRST COMMAND, well handled when outrun in the first quarter, saved ground behind the leaders on the fjnal turn, came between horses for the drive and was drawing out at the end. ERIC KNIGHT broke alertly, assumed command at once and was steadied along while enjoying a clear lead to the head of the stretch, then was shaken up and held on tenaciously. FOGOSO worked way up on the extreme outside and closed with good energy. BULLDINGER faltered in the final furlong after forcing the early pace. GUN BEARER closed with a belated rush through the stretch. ONE LOOK was in close quarters on the inside and failed to get racing room until straightened in the stretch. CZECH LASS had no mishap. BETTY QUEEN, forwardly placed in the first quarter, responded to vigorous handling in the stretch to wear down ROLLS HIGH inside the final sixteenth and had enough left to hold MYSHIRLEY safe at the end. The latter was prominently placed while saving ground, then was steered to the outside in the stretch and closed with good energy. NAVY FLYER, moving up fast entering the stretch, was sent down on the inside nearing the furlong pole to make a determined bid. then faltered in the final strides ROLLS HIGH had speed from the start and set a fast pace to the furlong pole, then weakened. CHANCE PLAYER saved ground entering the stretch, failed to menace the leaders under light urging and went out a mile in 1:42% CASH REWARD was outrun to the late stages. ASTIFY had no excuse. CHEVALIER, slow to settle in stride, closed fast on the outside under intermittent urging. LINWOOD BLUE saved ground while remaining close to the leaders, then failed to respond when put to a drive. HIS DAUGHTER raced evenly and had no mishap. BIG BROTHER displayed good speed in assuming command in the first quarter, then tired in the final stages. ROSY MORN showed nothing. PRINCE FAVOR was unable to keep up. WINDHOVER failed to reach the leaders under steady urging. The others were never serious factors. Scratched— 98815 He Dont, 120. BRILLIANT FLY showed speed from the start, was sent to the inside entering the stretch after losing the lead and continued on with good courage. WEATHERITE moved up with a rush on the outside entering the stretch, then hung under stout urging. SICKIE SUN passed tiring horses. DON MILLER had no mishap. SKY SKIPPER was unable to keep up. TAKE AWAY disposed of ANOTHER BEL after a quarter, drew clear under urging, was shaken up entering the stretch and continued on gamely when challenged by MOMO FLAG. The latter, in hand for five furlongs, moved into contention with a rush, made a determined bid nearing the sixteenth post, but was unable to reach the winner. SINGULAR, a trailer for the first half, came around horses on the final turn, then finished fast. UNKNOWN REWARD remained flanked on MOMO FLAG when the latter made his move, raced like a team to the sixteenth post, then weakened slightly. TOWAKEE passed tiring horses. NAVY was forwardly placed for six furlongs, then flattened out when put to a drive. ANOTHER BEL held on for six furlongs after being displaced, then faltered. ABOYNE retired steadily after the first half. TWO TEN was not persevered with in the late stages. Overweight— Singular, 2 pounds; Towakee. 2; Two Ten, 2. SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. UNITRAN was within striking distance of the pace, responded well in the final quarter, but was unable to stave off the winner. NEVERFRET showed speed from the beginning, but faltered in the final strides after reaching command after the first quarter. CRAZY HORSE weakened after forcing the pace. GRAY SYNGO moved up with a rush on the inside entering the stretch, but faltered in the final seventy yards. CHANCE CROSS rallied mildly in the stretch. GLENWOOD BOY was unable to reach the leaders. WOLF CREEK, under a tight hold for a mile, closed fast on the inside, disposed of KINGS FEAST nearing the sixteenth pole, then was weakly ridden when the winner challenged. KINGS FEAST was sent to the front at once, opened a commanding lead and was under light restraint to the turn out of the backstretch, hen weakened slightly. SIR GANO was used up forcing the pace and had nothing. ARABS LADY retired steadily after a half CALABAZ0 failed to respond entering the stretch. COPPER MAN turned in a dull effort. MUREX was outrun.
