Joselito First Horse to Die While Aboard Transport Plane LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 13. — The first racehorse casualty attributed to aerial transportation was reported yesterday with the arrival at Long Beach of a plane bearing thoroughbreds owned by the San Luis Stable. En route from Mexico City to Hollywood Park, the three-year-old colt, Joselito, died in the air, literally kicking himself to death, according to veterinarian Everett Siemar. Eight other horses making up the cargo of the plane arrived in good condition.
