Jack Thomas, Owner of Race Track Camera Service, Dies ST. LOUIS, Mo., May 13.— Jack Thomas, owner and operator of the Thomas Speed Camera which photographs the finishes at various race tracks throughout the country, was found dead in his hotel room here yesterday. Death was believed due to a heart attack. Thomas was here preparing for the opening of the Fairmount Park meeting at nearby Collinsville, 111., where his camera has been in use for some time. He also serviced Ak-Sar-Ben at Omaha, Neb., Charles Town in West Virginia and Dade Park in Kentucky.
