Two rich stake offerings are scheduled for decision, while the overnight events listed also should attract top-class fields. On Wednesday, the 0,000 Lansing, five-furlong allowance fixture, for two-year-old colts and geldings, is to serve as the headliner, while on next Saturday the 0,000 added Royal Oak, one mile and one-sixteenth condition race for three-year-old fillies, is to occupy the spotlight. Included in the list of 24 Lansing nominees are , the winners of the Duncan F. Old Tom has started four times during his brief career, and the Woodward colt visited the winners circle on three occasions. Won First Race at Keeneland Black Sambo failed to reach peak form until he was shipped north from the Crescent City and won his initial outing at Keeneland, defeating Henry Busse, Lady Marquest and Fighting Man, among others. In his next Lexington engagement, the Lafayette, Black Sambo found the sloppy course to his advantage and beat Wisconsin Boy, Go Jeep Go, and Feudin Fightin. Go Jeep Go, by War Jeep and from Ill Go Far, won his initial start at the New Orleans track, then followed his graduation with a seven lengths decision over some rather useful youngsters. The Kenner was a sharply-contested stake and Go Jeep Go shouldered 122 pounds in the dash, beating Heres Hube, Delta Eagle, Air Mail and others of class.
