Epic Leaves for Woodbine JAMAICA, L. I., N. Y., May 14. — E. P. Taylors Epic, favorite for the historic Kings Plate, leaves Jamaica tomorrow morning for Woodbine. The Canadian-bred colt, who has neyer started in the United States, a condition of the race, worked a handy mile and a furlong this morning. He was timed in 1:58, with fractions of :51% for the half, six furlongs in 1:17% and mile in 1:45. Epic has been training steadily at Jamaica for several weeks in preparation for the Kings Plate, which is the oldest race on the North American continent.
