ROCHE, never far back and well ridden, saved ground entering the stretch and, responding to punishment, wore down the leaders and won going away. BOLO PAT, a keen factor from the beginning, was much used engaging LUNCH DATE to the final furlong and disposed of the latter, but could not withstand the winner. TIGER MAN, slow to reach best stride and outrun to the stretch, finished fast on the extreme outside. CLEANED failed to rally when hard ridden through the stretch. LUNCH DATE wen to the front early ana made the pace to the last furlong while racing with BOLO PAT, then weakened. NITE CRIES tired after racing, well to the stretch. M1NTL0CK was never dangerous. BULLY BOY went to the front at once, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch, then was briskly handled to retain his advantage. KOPES TOY raced evenly to the stretch, then closed gamely under urging. SECOND AVENUE held on well in a sharp effort and had no excuse. BIG IKE was outrun. DONKE SERENADE was racing prominently near the three-furlong pole when he attempted to bolt and was straightened up, but could not reenter serious contention. DOCTOR L. E. was far back throughout. KNIGHTS GIFT, never far back, went to the front when settled in the stretch, but could not hold the winner. SNIFF SNIFF saved ground throughout and had no mishaD. MONTES ACE assumed command at once, made the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered. JERSEY ISLE was outrun. YESNOW was never dangerous. WAYNE L. was far back throughout. OUR REQUEST raced forwardly placed from the outset, responded to strong handling during the stretch run and wore down PANCHO SUPREME in the last sixteenth. The latter went to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong, held on gamely, but was not good enough. DAINTY MAID, away fast, raced evenly in a good effort. KOSADUS saved ground throughout, but failed to respond when set down in the drive. MAD MOMENT was never a serious factor and had no excuse. BROTHER HENRY was outrun. VERAGEL was far back throughout. ROYAL TULIP began fast, dropped back soon after the start, steadily improved his i position, but could not menace the leaders. OBSTINATE SI raced well to the stretch, then weakened. MONTEREY began sluggishly. GOLDEN BOLT was hustled up on the inside soon after the start, was forced i to take up when crowded badly during the initial quarter of a mile and could not reach serious contention when finally clear. SHY GUY was bumped on the first turn when CHILDERIC was sent up on the inside, was taken in hand while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the upper turn and, after taking command in the stretch, retained the advantage under a steady hand ride. MISS MOMMY, a keen factor from the start, was much used racing LOVE SONNET into defeat was in close quarters during the drivei but finished resolutely in a sharp effort. LOVE SONNET went to the front after going a half mile and held on well to the final furlong, then faltered. CHILDERIC, under a bold ride, was sent up on the inside of SHY GUY after the start, bumped the latter and failed to stay after displaying brief speed, SIR SPRITE made a mild bid approaching the stretch, then gave way.
