Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. REBATE, never far back, came out for the drive, drifted out slightly while tiring, but held on gamely to prevail over HAPPY PAT. The latter finished determinedly in a sharp effort. ELKTONIA QUEEN raced prominently to the stretch under steady rating, but weakened when set down for the drive. COPPER POT had no mishap. SWESTEEL, well ridden, held a slight advantage entering the stretch, gave way momentarily to PAPRIKA between calls, but came again nearing the finish and was up in the final strides to dispose of the latter. PAPRIKA reached command midway of the final furlong, then weakened in the late stages and could not hold the winner. SUN GALLAHAD closed with a belated rush, but was not good enough. CANTEEN LAD failed to rally when called upon for his best effort LEO RED lacked speed. GOOD MARKET was outrun. DISTANT LIGHT raced wide on the upper turn. JUNE AYR tired badly through the stretch. LITTLE BIMBI took command immediately after the start, made the pace to the stretch under steadying restraint and, in a long drive, 4ield POLITICS safe. POLITICS raced in closest attendance to the early pace after a quarter of a mile, but failed to respond when roused for the stretch run. DARBY DIMOUT saved ground while on the inside during the late stages, but lacked a menacing rally. WEE WEE MARIE raced far back early and saved ground to no avail. SIDNEY SUE was never formidable. SPRING FIESTA tired under punishment. REGULARITY fell back quickly from a rapid beginning and never entered prominent contention thereafter. Overweight— Sidney Sue, 1* pounds. FAST TEMPO, forwardly placed throughout, held on gamely when settled for the stretch run and, in a long drive, lasted over PATSY JO. The latter moved up with a rush while on the outside nearing the furlong marker, but hung during the final strides and could not overtake the winner. VICTOR NANCE came wide on the upper turn and could not seriously threaten the leaders. OBELISK saved ground when outrun early, then failed to respond when hard ridden throughout the stretch. HELENCHEN, much used engaging for the early advantage, flattened out when called upon for her best effort. Helenchen claimed by B. Lisner. FIFTH RACE 5-8 MILE. OMADHAUN outsprinted the field into the first turn, drifted out extremely wide on the near turn, came to the middle of the track and, under punishment, outlasted SPURCHASE. The latter reached the lead when OMADHAUN went out on the turn, continued gamely during the final stages, but could not reach the winner. DOMINION was guided to the inside for the stretch run and finished willingly. BICKETT failed to make up appreciable ground when shaken up for the drive. TORDAR could not keep up. SWING AGAIN closed a" gap when settled for the final drive, but was not. good enough. BALLADETTE tired under punishment. MISS HIGHBROW lacked speed. IRISH DAUGHTER had no mishap.
