Evening Rose Front-Running Winner of Clover Club Purse NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., June 14. — Evening Rose, sporting the colors of the Providence sportswoman, Mrs. B. F. Lister, led her field from, flagfall to finish of the six-furlong Clover Club Purse this afternoon, to account for her third victory in five starts this year. H. G. Bed-wells Supper Date turned in an even race behind the winner to be second, while beaten three lengths, with Flying Mile and Gee Whiz separated by .clear margins to complete the order of finish. Evening Rose was the third winning favorite to please the gathering of 8,820 that attended todays sport which was conducted under delightful weather conditions. She returned a straight mutuel of .20, and turned in one of the fastest times of the meeting, being clocked in 1:10% over lightning fast racing strip.
