APROPIADO, allowed to settle in stride for a half, moved up on the outside for the drive, bore in badly and had to be taken up repeatedly and outgamed ELCAN. The latter, well placed from the start, took a brief lead in the stretch, stumbled near the finish and just missed. OSWEGO DR., a sharp factor from the break, went up to be on even terms for the lead in the stretch and faltered. DONNA L. gave way in the drive after making the early pace. FIVE A. M. was outrun in the going. BALHEIM showed little. FLOATING CLOWN quit. Scratched— 74819 Frisk, 107; 75009 Vanflag, 111; 76906 Air Force II., 114; 76692 Choppy Sea, 111. Floating Clown claimed by W.
