TRIVIA was taken up while between i the leaders early, was always formidable and, after assuming command through the stretch, held OMITTED i safe. The latter took the overland course while improving his position and was getting to the top one. OMAHA JR. wrested command leaving the backstretch, held sway until inside the furlong pole and tired i only slightly. GLEN ARVIS showed an even effort. RISKIT caught tired horses. BLUE EGRET held the lead I after a half mile and tired. GOLDTON was never a factor. MAMALOI, in front briefly during the early i stages, quit to a v.alk. FRATERNAL raced ON BALANCE into defeat, but was no match for the winner. FIGHTING GAL responded when roused nearing the stretch, engaged the leaders and weakened. DEUX-MOULINS caught tired horses. ANNIE OAKLEY, allowed to race on her own ocurage early, circled the field while responding to intermittent pressure, assumed command just inside the furlong pele and drew clear. LILLIAN CLARKE, rated in close attendance to the pace, assumed command entering the stretch, but was no match. SALIENT alternated in setting the pace into the stretch and faltered. NEREID, crowded back while on the inside early, failed to seriously threaten. PIRATE GOLD was practically eliminated when she went in the air at the break.
