The new admissions scale, including all taxes, is .00 in the grandstand, .50 in J the clubhouse — the lowest charged by any major race track in the United States. McCormack, pres- » ident of Lincoln Fields; president John D. Allen of Arlington Park, and Bernard J. Fallon, president of Washington Park. j The statement follows: "Our decision to eliminate passes and I reduce admissions was motivated mainly I by our desire to treat all patrons fairly and equitably. The situation wherein one segment of our attendance enjoyed a lower admission than another was basically unfair. "We also felt that the use of these passes was not in keeping with the dignity and high standards of the fine racing program to which Chicago is entitled. ] "The pass had become so widespread in its use," the statement continued, "that it J no longer possessed any real value. "As has been our policy in past years, 1 there will be no increase in prices on , Saturdays, holidays or on special event ! days." ] This year, all Lincoln Fields-Arlington J Park-Washington Park race-goers will pay 1 the same price, eliminating the delay and ] confusion of using special pass gates for collection of tax and service charges.
