Craigs Elbow Injury Healed; Returns to Saddle at Beulah BETJLAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 1. — Jockey Howard Craig checked into the track today and will be able to ride opening day and throughout the meeting. Craig was injured at Lincoln Downs, March 26. At that time, he was the leading jockey of the nation, but because of forced idleness relinquished that position. However, the doctor gave him an okay to take up his saddle duties beginning this coming Saturday, stating that the injured elbow had responded splendidly to treatment and was now as good as ever. Craig, a Springfield, Ohio, lad, has been the leading rider on the Ohio circuit for several seasons and his saddle engagements are handled by the affable Cliff Sandusky. Sandusky will also take over the book of apprentice jockey S. Burnett who has impressed horsemen as well as Sandusky in his brief career.
