Ohio, May 1.— Grove City, the home of Beulah Park, will be saluted Saturday afternoon when the Ohio racing season gets under way. Feature event on Saturdays inaugural card is the Grove City Purse, a six-furlong allowance race designed to match the best sprinters. Five other races at Beulah Saturday will be at six furlongs. Two will be one mile and one at one and one-sixteenth miles. Post time for the first race will be 2:15 m. EST. Racing fans are reminded of state racing commission ruling barring children under 16 for the track. This rule will be rigidly enforced during the 20-day season. After the first day, Saturday, the Grove City course will be "dark" until Wednesday, May 9, when a heavy schedule of twilight racing will be inaugurated. On twilight days, racing will start at 4 p. m. EST. The late afternoon racing will prevail every day except Saturdays and Memorial Day.
